Depending on your progress throughout the course, you may be able to take your ISKGA Guide assessment at the end of your course. If not, you will be invited to return within 6-18 months’ time to do so. This is because the course is aimed at the working commercial guide; working in a remote coastal environment and is guiding at the highest professional level and we believe that ‘real time’ experience needs to be gained before you become a fully fledged ISKGA Guide. If you are attending this course in the UK, you need to already hold a British Canoeing Sea Kayak leadership award. British Canoeing awards are incorporated into the program and leadership assessments run the weekend prior to the guide program commencing.
For more information on the award go to: http://www.iskga.com
This is a non residential program with much of the course ‘under canvas’. Guides will need to attend a separate “Marine First Responder’ module as this is not included in the course itinerary. Essential to email applications to: info@expeditionpaddler.com
